The author depicts Spring in the image of a beautiful, slender, gentle girl. She is depicted in motion, at the moment of enlightenment and fascination with the idea of creating and inspiring. Her image shines with the beauty of the spiritual world in which her imagination resides! From there she draws strength to revive everything around and herself becomes this life. Everything trembles, wakes up, comes to life around – in the movement of Spring, reality acquires a new meaning.
She herself, as the personification of new forces of nature, is an impulse to something new, that creative force that conveys a message from the spiritual world.
The author created the work in the spring of 2005. At the call of the heart, he conveyed the feeling of the breath of Spring. The state of waiting for Spring, a premonition of something elusively beautiful, new and life-giving, like the spring wind. The work expresses the disclosure of potential through spiritual searches.
The image is based on the painting by Nicholas Roerich “Beyond the Seas – Great Lands” (1910). The painting depicts a woman on the seashore, dreaming of distant, unknown fairy-tale countries-worlds, where destined treasures of the spirit await her, awakening, inspiring and renewing her essence.
The sculptor transferred the idea of enlightenment by a higher idea and joyful anticipation into the image of Spring, which by its nature expresses renewal for the better.
