“The doctor should have his eyes of a falcon, hands of a girl and wisdom of a snake and the heart of a lion”

AVICENNA – Abu Ali Sina – philosopher and physician, poet, genuine encyclopedist of Central Asia, whose works cover 29 spheres of science. Life years 980 – 1037.

Avicenna – “the prince of doctors and philosophers” summarized the views and experiences of Greek, Roman, Indian and Central Asian medicine. He also compiled the theory of the structure of the universe.  The main theme of poetic activity is the eternity of matter, the preaching of enlightenment and science. He was a forerunner of humanism as his teaching about man is the teaching about the unity of body and soul. The Soul is nothing but one of the three dimensions in which the Universal Soul is manifested, it is the force emanating from the Absolute and returning to it. Thought is a manifestation of the Absolute. WORKS The Canon of Medicine, The Recital of the Bird, Alive, Son of Awake, Salaman and Absal, The Medical Poem, The Divine Pearl: On Professing the Unity of God.
