Ancient Greek philosopher, student of Socrates, teacher of Aristotle.

Plato (about 427-347 BC) takes the impersonal, universal spirit as the fundamental principle of existence. Created the doctrine of the unity and purposefulness of the world; about the world of “ideas” that are eternal, unchanging, express the essence of things; introduced a rational view of the explanation and knowledge of the world; wrote a treatise on the ideal state, paying great attention to the moral qualities of citizens and rulers.
