JOHANN SEBASTIAN BACH 

1685-1750

German composer, virtuosic organist, music teacher. 

Сombined the traditions of German sacred music with the traditions of Austrian, Italian, French music schools. He was a brilliant innovator who opened new prospects for the development of world music culture. His strong influence was also reflected in the works of great composers of the 19^th century (Beethoven, Brahms, Wagner, Glinka, Taneyev) and in the works of outstanding masters of the 20^th century (Shostakovich, Onegger). The works of Bach are notable by the unity of all the elements, a balanced musical structure, a strong architectonics, and a huge variety of techniques connected by strong internal logic.

WORKS The creative heritage of Bach is very rich and diverse, it includes more than 1000 works of various genres: “Brandenburg concertos”, “Месса h-moll”, “St John Passion”, “St Matthew Passion”, “Christmas Oratorio” and others.
