“Educating the mind without educating the heart is no education at all.”

ARISTOTLE  – ancient Greek philosopher and encyclopedic scholar. The student of Plato. The teacher of Alexander the Great. Years of life 384 – 322 BC.

The founder of formal logic. He founded the lyceum (peripatetic school), which, together with the Academy of Plato, was the second university in Athens. The teaching of Aristotle is a generalization of all previous Greek thought. The philosopher created a comprehensive system of philosophy that encompassed all spheres of human development: sociology, philosophy, politics, logic, physics. His views on ontology had a serious influence on the subsequent development of human thought.

The basis of the philosophical logic of Aristotle features a number of concepts denoting the general characteristics of being. Most often he names ten categories: substance, quality, quantity, relatives, somewhere, sometime, being in a position, having, acting, and being acted upon.
