 ANDREI RUBLEV – unequalled master of the Moscow school of icon painting, book and monumental painting of the XV century. Years of life  1370-1428.

 Andrei Rublev managed to make integration of local Russian traditions and practice of Byzantine masters. He materialized new sublime understanding of spiritual beauty and moral strength of a person. A. Rublev promoted reappearance of faith in a man, his moral force, the ability to self-sacrifice in the name of sublime ideals. The name of Andrei Rublev became the symbol of Holy Russia as well as the symbol of the Old Russian art, great Russian man as he should be. Creations of the master are an eternal hymn to peace and harmony among people.

During the whole XV century the style of A. Rublev has been the leading and his personality was covered with halo        of great glory. He was canonized by the Russian Orthodox Church in the face of the saints.

WORKS Murals of the cathedral of the Annunciation in the Moscow Kremlin, the Assumption Cathedral in Vladimir,               the Savior Cathedral of the Savior-Andronnikov Monastery in Moscow. Conducted the work processes in the Trinity Cathedral of the Trinity-Sergius Monastery. Zvenigorod’s rite is one of the most beautiful icon ensembles of Rublev painting. The “Trinity” is the masterpiece, the pinnacle of Russian icon painting.
