“Alexander the Great”. 2008, fireclay.

The most prominent military leader in human history who has not lost a single battle. Alexander the Great (356-323 BC) managed to conquer most of Asia in a short time, reaching India and Pakistan. This success was facilitated by the ruler’s tactical talent and choice of strategy: the Macedonian army always acted quickly and suddenly, and victories were given with small sacrifices.

“Let me remind you of another plan – the unification of Asia with Europe … Alexander the Great began a great work … but human nature obscures the clarity of the task …” (Roerich OI Records of the Doctrine of Living Ethics, 02.05.1924).
