Merciful Nicholas with his life’s feat evokes deep respect for the limitless goodness shown as a result of unshakable faith. Saint Nicholas is a bright example to follow, how to help those in need, how to express sympathy, how to protect the weak and help the sick.

When St. Nicholas became an archbishop, he was still friendly and open, generous and kind, strict in fasting and prayer, a true patron of beggars and the destitute. He cared for his flock with great love. Saint Nicholas was imprisoned under Emperor Diocletian, the persecutor of Christians, but he preached even there and cared for the prisoners.
