CORE IDEAS According to the theory of Seraphim of Sarov, a person should be a helper of God, accumulate the peace of God in his heart and materialize the virtue of the Holy Spirit in life. A Christian must, through fasting, maintain inner unity and spiritual composure. Unity with people is maintained by love in works of mercy. In every man, we need to see God’s creation equal to us. Unity with God is maintained by unceasing remembrance of Him. It is necessary to get used to think about the God, and then it is possible to become close to Him and love Him.
The main task of a man is the preservation of the heart from obscene thoughts. Vigilant preservation of the heart gives birth to purity in it and makes available the vision of God. Seraphim of Sarov is an example of genuine, very deep and simple holiness.
