“When the boy Jesus was five years old, He played at the ford across the stream, and gathered the flowing water into pools, and made it clean and controlled it with one word of his own. And he softened the clay, and fashioned twelve sparrows. And it was Saturday when He did it. And there were many children who played with Him. But when a certain Jew saw what Jesus was doing playing on the Sabbath, he immediately went to His father Joseph and said: “Look, your child is at the ford, and he took clay and made birds, and defiled the Sabbath day.” And when Joseph came to that place and saw, he cried out: “Why do you do on Saturday what you shouldn’t ?!”.
But Jesus clapped his hands and shouted to the sparrows:
“Fly!” and the sparrows flew up, chirping. ”
