Еnglish physicist, mathematician, mechanic and astronomer, one of the founders of classical physics 

Newton created the basis for all modern physics. He formulated three laws of motion, which formed the basis of classical mechanics and physics, expounded his law of universal gravitation, which interconnected the course of the heavenly bodies — the Sun, planets, comets. Newton created a new, mechanical system of the world. Through the laws of mechanics he described the motion of celestial bodies, including the Sun.

Newton discovered the law of universal gravitation, the laws of motion, developed differential and integral calculus, the theory of color, laid the foundations of modern physical optics, built many other mathematical and physical theories.
