Adam and Eve. Redemption. 2006.

The sculptor raises the philosophical topic of atonement for sin. The original sin, committed in Eden by the forefathers Adam and Eve, is the violation of the prohibition “you shall not eat from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil” (Genesis 2:17).

Created by God, sinless Adam and Eve, tempted by the devil, committed the fall – tasted the forbidden fruit of their own free will. Original sin, according to Christian teaching, was reflected on the entire humanity.

The author offers his vision of redemption – the rebirth of a woman. With the acquisition of purity and spiritual perfection, a woman will be able to restore harmony with the world, attract her Husband and children to it. Atonement for original sin and acquisition of spiritual paradise for all mankind is in the intangible desire of a woman.
